We have begun exploratory work to confirm the location of existing underground utilities in Wailuku town as part of preparation work for infrastructure improvements.
Phase one of the Wailuku Civic Complex projects includes a full upgrade of the roads and utilities on the block Church street between Main and Vineyard; as well as two blocks of Vineyard between High and Market streets.
MIRA has been contracted to rebuild these three blocks of infrastructure. Work will include – water and sanitary sewer replacements, the addition of storm drains, the installation of underground utilities, and the construction of curbs, gutters, and sidewalks.
During this exploratory phase we will be locating any un-mapped sewer laterals and potential trouble spots before the road is closed. Using our advanced camera detection system we are able to identify issues before they start; saving us time and man hours.
We will be setting up a construction office at 30 N. Church Street which will serve as a place for the community to come in and view construction plans and talk with the team. We want people to feel they can come to us and let us know how we can make the construction easier on them.
