Joint Traffic Management Center Monument

Installation of the foundation and base for the sculpture to be placed at the new JTMC (Joint Traffic Management Center) in Honolulu. Work also included the coordination, transport and installation of the statue, on-site, in-place and complete with all finishes and furnishings for the complete, finished product.

Cabanatuan American Memorial

The Cabanatuan American Memorial was erected by the survivors of the Bataan Death March and the prisoner of war camp at Cabanatuan in the Philippines during World War II. It is located at the site of the camp and honors those Americans and Filipinos who died during their internment. ABMC, recognizing the significance of this memorial, accepted responsibility for its operation and maintenance in 1989.

The Challenges

Our biggest challenge was to coordinate with vendors and partners, across multiple time-zones; to source, engrave and install the massive stone tablets used in the memorial.

Battle of Midway Memorial

The World War II Midway Monument is located on Midway Atoll at the northwestern portion of the Hawaiian island chain and it marks the location of the pivotal Battle of Midway. This monument, a granite “memory stone,” is etched with a historical tribute to America’s armed forces.

Vietnam War Memorial

To further honor the sacrifice of the 2,504 members of the U.S. armed forces missing in action from the Vietnam War memorialized at the Honolulu Memorial, the American Battle Monuments Commission, in coordination with the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, have dedicated two new pavilions and mosaic maps.

Krypton Sculpture Renovation

MIRA was tasked with the restoration of the 45 year old monolith replica. In the past the monolith housed sub-woofers which would play low tones from the film “2001: A Space Odyssey.” Along with the restoration we were also asked to repair and upgrade the internal speakers to a full speaker assembly.

Moving Sculptures

MIRA was brought in to assist with the moving of 2 large sculptures. With our expertise and experience working with large scale delicate materials we were able to safely install the 2 sculptures in their new home.

Courts of The Missing

Project Description

Location:  National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific
Year Completed:   2018

The American Battle Monuments Commission dedicated the Courts of the Missing to honor the vast number of missing sailors, soldiers, and Marines. The original Courts of the Missing were dedicated to the 26,306 servicemen lost in World War II and the Korean War. In addition, 8210 missing from the Korean War.
